Canvas FAQ's

1.  What kind of canvas, ink, and printers do you use?

We use Lexjet Sunset Select Matte Canvas.  This bright, white, poly/cotton blend canvas provides a wide color gamut and excellent color consistency.  The relatively smooth Oxford 2 over 1 weave is ideal for photo and art reproduction and will provide archival-quality images that will last a lifetime.  Lexjet Sunset Select Matte Canvas is a 2010 Hot One Award winner.

We use Epson Ultrachrome HDR ink, which provides the widest color gamut ever.  The  majority of our canvases are printed on the Epson Stylus Pro 9900 and the Epson SureColor P9000 wide format printer, which print up to 44" wide.  Canvasses over 44" wide are printed on our Epson SureColor S40600 eco-solvent printer, which prints up to 60" wide.

2.  Do you use a UV protective coating on your canvas?

Yes!  A clear, UV protective coating is automatically applied to every canvas print unless otherwise specified.  We use a revolutionary new water-based protective coating called PremierArt ECO Print Shield that protects your canvas print from moisture, light, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and even fingerprints.  Your canvas print will not scratch or fade over time.  Satin and matte finishes are available upon request.

3. How do you gallery-wrap canvas without losing part of the image?

The most common way to make a gallery-wrap print is to mirror the image on the edges to be wrapped around the stretcher bars.  If desired, you may request a "continuous image" which will simply add more of the image to the sides without subtracting from the totality of the original print.

4.  Do you give discounts for ordering in larger quantities?

Yes!  Prices drop .01c per square inch on quantities over five.  Quantities drop an additional .01c per square inch on quantities ordered over ten.
